When I saw that Rimmel released a new concept mascara, I was beyond excited to give it a try.
With its new formula you can shake the mascara to refresh it, so it never dries out and you can re-use it each time you desire. The mascara houses a cylindrical mixer, which mixes the emulsion from dry to wet again.
Rimmel is the first brand that brings out this concept and it took them 10 years to create the watergel structure that brings the mascara back to life. How amazing does that sound?
When I first picked it up, I was like whoa. How heavy can a mascara be? Totally didn't expect that.
Probably because of the cylindrical mixer that makes it heavier than a regular mascara. Just a tiny thing that you have to keep in mind if you're planning on buying it.
Speaking about the packaging, I really like the grey and yellow, as that's one of my favourite colour combinations EVAH!!!
The brush is quite big and bulky and is made from natural fibres. It should give you voluminous and clump-free lashes, which I'm up for! This all sounds promising so far, let's test it out!
Soooo, the result... To be honest, I feel like it doesn't do a lot to my lashes, but only lengthens them a little and makes them a little more black.
Clump free & Volume? Not even close. The mascara is very clumpy and doesn't give me the mega volume ultra black wowzah look I hoped for.
It's been a long time since I've had clumpy eyelashes, so I immediately knew this wasn't going to be the one for me. What went wrong Rimmel? I'm very disappointed :(
It took me about 3 weeks to refresh the mascara, which Is way sooner than I thought I would've.
I thought it would last by the time a normal mascara would go out of date, which is around 3 months.
I feel like when I shake the mascara every 3 days, it looks better on the lashes because of the wetter emulsion.
But I didn't get my hopes up because the effect on the lashes is still not that great. I really want to like it, but I just don't...
If soft and subtle lashes are your cup of tea, I would recommend to give it at try.
Want more va va voom lashes like I do? Than this isn't the one for you, I'm afraid.
I was really excited about this concept and this could be the new "it" mascara. But Rimmel really let me down with promising something that isn't reality, not on my lashes however.
Sorry Rimmel, but this sadly enough, is a no for me.
Have you tried it out yet? What do you think of the formula?
Love,
Mylotte x
