I kindly recieved this gift set from my dad for Christmas last year. When I openend it, I had actually never heard of Nina Ricci before. So I was very curious to give it a smell.
Unfortunately, I was a bit disappointed because this certainly isn't a scent I would usually go for. When you're buying a perfume, it has to match you, doesn't it? I felt bad towards my dad, but I surely wanted to give it a try.
So, when I started using it, it wasn't that bad at all. I was getting more used to it and now I actually really like the scent. It's more special than any other perfumes I already own.
There's also a body lotion in the set, which I like a bit more than the eau the toilette because the scent is a little softer and less in your face. The consistency of the lotion is a perfect liquid that melts nicely into your skin.
I'm not really good at describing scents, but what I can tell you (from Google :)) is that the topnotes are Caipirinha Lime and Lemon, heartnotes are Red Toffee Apple and Gardenia, and the basenotes are Cederwood, Cotton and Musk.
You can smell the citrusses the strongest , which for me makes it a fresh scent that can be worn all year around and at anytime of the day.
This would definetly be a nice gift to give to someone at any special occasion.
The apple bottle is cute and original. I kinda feel like Snow White biting in the poisoned apple. "One bite and all your dreams will come true."Or wait, it has to be : "One spray and all your dreams will come true."
(Except this isn't poisoned ;) ).
